A pig that doesn't fly is nothing other a polk.
御存知「紅の豚」の中の「飛べない豚はただの豚だ」。ただし、これ、DVDを字幕も音声も英語版で見て聞き取ったのですが、字幕がすごいお粗末なDVDでした。字幕では、"A pig gotta fly."・・・って全然違うだろ。しかも、 "the pig gotta fly." じゃなくて、 "a pig gotta fly." って怖いよ。っていうか、こっちのほうがある意味かっこいいし。

米民主党のJohn Edwards副大統領候補が、２００４年１月３日夜、サウスカロライナ州の指名投票に勝利して行った、

という演説。
いや、すごかった。やっぱり弁護士出身者は違うな。演説がとてもうまい。ブレア首相とブッシュ大統領が並んで演説してたら、「あ〜、Broken EnglishとQueen's Englishでは格が違うな。ブッシュさんがほんと、馬鹿に見えるや。」とずっと思ってたんだけど（Blairさん、発音もきれいだし、演説もうまいからね。）、もし、エドワーズさんだったらどうかな、って考えたりもした。
あ、ところでこの文の構文はきちんととれましたか？一見、あれ？と思ってしまいかねない箇所がありますので（というか、文法的に誤りということが不可能ではない部分）要注意。

赤毛のアンの中の台詞。アンの無邪気さとアンの悲惨さが出ている。ただ、この赤毛のアン、原文で読んでみると分かりますが、相当アンはやばいです。他の人が一言話すたびに、数十行にわたる台詞をしゃべるので、話が全然進みません。

「私の経験からすると、こうなのよね。」という意味ですが、誰の台詞かご存知ですか。アンです。え、お前何歳だよ。"A child of about eleven, garbed in a very short, very tight, very ugly dress of yellowish white wincey."って書いてあるとこからすると１１歳だろ。１０年ちょっと生きたくらいで、私の経験からすると、とか言うんじゃない。

「カレッジライトハウス」の言。ではなくて、チャップリンの言。（カレッジライトハウスで"comedy"ってひいてください。）

"Home alone"の中の会話。気の狂いかけた母親を相手にこういう会話をする精神は尊敬します。

"Home alone"の中の台詞。子供はいいね。いや、ホントに。
